Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
It's the most amazing thought in the world to know that I am free. That I have the freedom to be who I am in Christ. It makes me really sad when I see people caught up in traditions and man's ways. People that don't realize what freedom there is in Christ!! I used to be this way before the Lord helped me to break free. He taught me a better way, a way to be free in him!
Now I can rejoice in the fact that He made me FREE!
I love this song by Dara Maclean simply titled Free.
From the color, to the smell to the rust on the bumper. The sheer fact that is is mine.
I was blessed with this car. Around my birthday last year, some friends showed up with the car and a note that said "Happy Birthday!" I was floored and amazed and so so happy. I've been in love with that car ever since. I wanted to share some photos I took of "Goldie" and the things I love about it!
I keep a quilt in the backseat of my car. It's come in handy more times than you think! Plus, it looks nice and cozy sitting back there.
Cozy seats!
Bought Goldie some bling! :) That's a hummingbird hanging from the mirror. My sisters like to think it's a Mockingjay. lol go figure.
Hey there.
Rust - signs of a good car!
Carpeted dashboard with chapstick and change.
Pop up lights. hee hee give the car some personality!
I am thankful that I have a car. xo <3
What do you drive or what do you wish you were driving? :)
Last week I wanted to post this, because it's some of the simple things that made my week happy. There were a lot of troubles that week, a lot of things that just kept happening all at once. Car troubles, computer troubles, swamped with work and LIFE. I rolled with the punches, broke down and had a good cry a few times, but in between all of that somethings popped in shedding some joy. Whether it came in the mail, ended up on my doorstep or the was in the happiness of a seven year old, it cheered me in those moments.
A gorgeous, beautiful print that I bought off of etsy and framed. More prints coming to my house from her soon. :) Check out Katie's shop. http://www.etsy.com/shop/thewheatfield
My little brother got the entire Avenger's action hero collection for his birthday. He was so so SO happy. :)
Back in March my 12 year old brother let me know he got me a gift. But it wasn't coming until April. I got that gift this week. It was a Psych mug!!!! He saved up all of his points from the past two years(points he earned from being a part of Club Psych)and used them to buy me a mug! For my birthday. It was the most special gift ever and I love my mug so super much. <3
The back size has quotes!! "Are you a fan of delicious flavor?" -Shawn
The bicycle necklace I got from ae.com. Got matching earrings too! <3 Made me happy this week. I got it for 25% off, free shipping and jewelry was bogo 1/2 off. hee hee!
The beautiful strawberry mug to add to my collection of strawberry things that are in my cedar chest for my kitchen someday. It was a nice surprise to find on my doorstep where a friend left it while I was away. <3 it. Berry Tea and a cozy quilt during a rain. Nothing is better. *sigh*
Sums up the things that made me happy. Little things, simple things but the most lovely things. Thank you Lord for these little God-Sent gifts in the most troubling time of the day. They lifted my spirits. After all, it's the small things that set our hearts to soaring.
This song has been on my heart for the past week. I wanted to share with you the goodness of the Lord through this song.
Jesus is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. He saved my wicked awful soul. Without his saving grace in my life, I would not be the person that I am today. I stumble, struggle and fall every day. Then he picks me up and forgives me.
Like the water runs over and smooths the rocks over time, so does God to us with trials and temptations.
If I never struggled with anything or had any trials and temptations in my life I would never change.
My struggles define me and make me who I am - whether I overcome them or not.
It makes me think of Grace.
God's amazing, saving, loving, keeping grace.
He had grace and mercy for me, because I am a sinner in need of a savior. I don't deserve him and a home in heaven as a reward. I don't deserve it at all! Yet Jesus doesn't care. He loves me anyway, tells me I'm more than the choices I've made and gives me everlasting life.
I'm struggling with a lot of things at present. One, my weight. I'm supposed to be on weight watchers. I paid for it and everything. Yet for the past few weeks I have been struggling horribly on it. I haven't been counting my points, eating the wrong foods, etc. Somehow though, I've managed to lose 20 pounds. It's a start. It's where I wanted to be by my 20th birthday and I met that goal so far. I don't feel I should reward myself like I had planned. I haven't been sticking with it like I should, I don't deserve to get myself something special for losing those 20 pounds. I'm going to buy myself something anyway. Going to reward myself for those 20 pounds anyway. Granted, I still have so much more to lose. So much more.
I fail.
I struggle.
I am sometimes powerless.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who stregntheneth me
Yet, when I am weak, then I am strong.
Jesus is my strength. He's stronger and more powerful than anything.
His grace is more sufficient than anything.
He gives me grace everyday. I should have grace for others more.
20 pounds is a lot.
I shouldn't beat myself up about it.
I should be excited at even just one pound and "reward" myself as planned and keep pressing on.
When it's all said and done, Jesus is my saving grace!!
“If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you.”
-Winnie the Pooh
This week we went to the park and played with cousins. Sawyer had so much fun! He got to stay the night with us Tuesday night. He's so adorable!! He said some new stuff this week. My aunt got a new dog so he kept saying her name; Uma.
"Um -ma!"
He also asked me a question clearly.
"Can I have a drink of that?"
It floored me! He's a baby genius! Ha ha, I'm sure it's only because we talk to him a lot. He can repeat anything you say and it's so cute!
We also played outside a lot and watched a movie when it rained. My time with him is so so special and I cherish it.
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
