Goldie

Oh how I love my car!!
Everything about my car, do I love.
From the color, to the smell to the rust on the bumper.
The sheer fact that is is mine.

I was blessed with this car.
Around my birthday last year, some friends showed up with the car and a note that said
"Happy Birthday!"
I was floored and amazed and so so happy. I've been in love with that car ever since.
I wanted to share some photos I took of "Goldie" and the things I love about it!

I keep a quilt in the backseat of my car. It's come in handy more times than you think! Plus, it looks nice and cozy sitting back there.

Cozy seats!

Bought Goldie some bling! :) That's a hummingbird hanging from the mirror. My sisters like to think it's a Mockingjay. lol go figure.

Hey there.

Rust - signs of a good car!

Carpeted dashboard with chapstick and change.

Pop up lights. hee hee give the car some personality!

I am thankful that I have a car.

  3. I love this! And yes, that bird is totally a mockingjay. ;)

At the moment I drive a buick LeSabre. (aka "the papaw car" as dubbed by my sibilings.) But one day I hope to have a old VW bug, or maybe a truck. :)

  7. Is your car is an old Civic or Accord?
My car is a banana yellow '98 BMW M3 my generous aunt gave me; you may have seen photos of it on My blog or Flickr photostream (if not, look in my "Cars" set on the latter). I'd like a Ferrari 599 or a bunch of other fast, expensive sports cars that are still comfortable enough to use as daily drivers (such as the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG), a Shadow Hawk (armored, fast, can climb over large rocks), or my absolute favorite even though it's not real: Batman's Tumbler! Still, insurance is already way too expensive for me with my car, so if I had one that costs around 30 times as much, it would be even more ridiculous. Oops, sorry; here I am rambling about cars when you didn't say you really like them, or at least you didn't say you particularly liked other cars besides yours. :~\

  8. Oh, I forgot to mention that these pictures are pretty; I especially like the "Mockingjay" one. :) Pop-up headlights can be a novelty if you've bever had them on a car before, but sometimes they get stuck. My old '90 or '91 Nissan 240SX had those and they got stuck at times. :P (that car looked sporty and was loud but was very slow; the car I have now is relatively inconspicuous - or would be if it wasn't one of the only yellow cars in town - but it's relatively quick) You named your car Goldie? I name my Bimmer Molly (or Molleigh; I haven't decided on the spelling yet), partly because it's an M3, so I thought of a name that started with "M." Ok, I'll shut up now.
